My crafty life began early when I crocheted my first blanket sometime during the first grade (my mom says it was doll sized but in my memory it was huge). Later, in the elementary school years, I was taught to embroider and knit. I lost my crafty way in my teens and early adult years, although I longed to create (but thought I wasn’t creative).

About 15 years ago, I rediscovered my love of crafting and began making jewelry. In more recent years, I’ve discovered the joy of working with paper, made a couple quilts, experimented with homemade natural beauty products, created a candle or two, and picked up the crochet and knitting again. These days I’m learning how to solder and hope to start sewing some more.

I love making things by hand — the creative process, the challenge of bringing to life what is in the mind and the reward of completing a tenderly cared for project. Crafting gives me a sense of joy and serenity…which I hope comes through in the finished piece.

My wish is to share with others lovely things that delight…whether is is something handcrafted by yours truly or another, a great tutorial, an awesome blog, an inspirational thought…or something I have yet to discover.
